Kathleen Gorman, professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato, will talk about her new book, Boy Soldier of the Confederacy: The Memoir of Johnnie Wickersham.

October 16, 2007
Russell S. Bonds will present a program on his book, Stealing the General: The Great Locomotive Chase and the First Medal of Honor.

November 20, 2007
Adam Scher, director of museum services at the American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar, will discuss the programs being developed at Tredegar.

December 18, 2007
Steve Osman and Dick Punchard will talk about collecting Civil War artifacts and will bring some items from their collections to discuss.

January 15, 2008
Parker Hills of Battle Focus will present a program on the Vicksburg Campaign. He is president of Friends of the Vicksburg Campaign, a nonprofit preservation group, and has given many tours of battlefields.

February 19, 2008
William Harris, professor of history at North Carolina State University, will present the annual Lincoln program and talk about Lincoln's nomination for president in 1860. He is the author of Lincoln's Last Months, which won the 2004 Abraham Lincoln Institute Book Award.

March 18, 2008
J. David Petruzzi, an author of many articles on the Eastern Theater cavalry, will discuss his book, Plenty of Blame to Go Around: Jeb Stuart's Controversial Ride to Gettysburg.

April program is the symposium

May 20, 2008
John B. Lundstrom, retired military historian from the Milwaukee Public Museum, will present a program on the Ninth Minnesota Regiment and the battle of Brice's Cross Roads.
